It features an M short-stroke throttle, allowing the direct response of the S 1000 RR to every command at the throttle. The new fairing side panels present a more striking design, a new front wheel with brake ducts for improved brake cooling, and new winglets for increased downforce. The Double-R features “Race Pro” modes and the ABS setting “Slick.” BMW also offers Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) as a new standard feature on the Double R.
The M 1000 R is a racing motorcycle with a more dynamic design, including the new dual-flow LED headlight and M logo in the air intake between the headlights. The new M 1000 R is available with a revised traction control DTC and control strategy adopted from the RR models with the M short-stroke throttle, delivering a noticeable upgrade, most notably in Race mode for track days.
BMW S 1000 R has a potent inline-four engine rated at 170 hp. Its shorter ratio improves its sprint performance and delivers smoother gear changes thanks to its optimized standard Shift Assistant Pro. With a more dynamic setup and new M short-stroke throttle, the 1000 R delivers noticeably better acceleration in every situation.
