The 2023 BMW R nineT Scrambler is equipped with an 1197 cc air/oiled-cooled, twin-cylinder, four-stroke BMW Boxer engine. This highly capable engine is combined with dual camshafts, a central counterbalance shaft, and four radially arranged valves. The Boxer engine generates up to 109 horsepower and 85 lb.-ft. of torque. The closed-loop three-way catalytic converter supplies emission control, and the mixture control is electronic port fuel injection. This combination helps the 2023 BMW R nineT Scrambler attain speeds of over 124 miles per hour. The clutch is a hydraulically operated single dry plate clutch, and the gearbox is a constant mesh six-speed with helical gear teeth.
